Flock Safety Automated License Plate Reading (ALPR) Camera Installation Project

Description

The project consists of the installation of a Flock Safety automated license plate reading (ALPR) camera on behalf of the Santa Rosa Police Department. The installation includes a camera and solar panel mounted to an existing traffic signal or streetlight pole within public right-of-way. No ground disturbance, trenching, new pole installation, or expansion of facility capacity is proposed. The purpose of the installation is to assist law enforcement in identifying vehicles associated with criminal activity. The beneficiaries of the project include law enforcement and the public at large, as the installation supports public safety objectives within the City of Santa Rosa.
