Title
T15 Upper Feather River Dams Fault Exploration, Indian Creek Fault (ICF)
Description
To evaluate past tectonic activity that could influence dam safety at Antelope Lake in the future one trench sites (T-15) on the ICF near Antelope Lake in the Mt. Hough Ranger District. T-15 will be excavated and studied to better define the location and history of the ICF approximately 6 miles upstream of Antelope Dam along Indian Creek. Preliminary subsurface geologic exploration at the ICF sites will take place prior to excavation. A hand auger or post-hole tool will be used to dig into the ground and then backfilled with the same soil. Tarps will be used to place the soil on temporarily until backfilling.
