Title: Brannan Island State Recreation Area – Facilities Improvements
Description: The purpose of this project is to repair and/or upgrade items at the restroom facilities at Brannan Island State Recreation Area to ensure ADA compliance and full functionality for public use. Updating these facilities will also create an overall more enjoyable and inclusive experience for visitors. The work will occur in eight (8) of the park’s restrooms at the following locations: Windy Cove; Willow North; Willow South; Cottonwood North; Cottonwood South; Sacramento Group Camp; Swim Beach Day Use; and Boat Launch. Additionally, a free-standing water fountain at the Bait Shop will be replaced as well. Items to be upgraded for health and safety compliance include: doors, drinking fountains, faucets, mirrors, restroom waste bins, signs, sinks, showers, toilets, water bottle fillers, and water heater tanks and all necessary accessory parts. Work will also include removal and disposal of all non-compliant or broken fixtures, patching walls where necessary with either matching tile or stainless-steel blanks and replacing or repairing any cracked or broken tile as necessary.
