Title
Stream Gage Upgrade Project
Description
The El Dorado Irrigation District (District) proposes to replace equipment at three stream gaging stations in the communities of White Hall (Mill Creek), Cameron Park (Deer Creek), and the City of Placerville (Hangtown Creek) located in El Dorado County. The existing stream gages utilize discontinued technology that does not allow real-time data to be transferred via telemetry to the District’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. New instrumentation will be installed within existing cabinets at each gaging station. District staff will replace all data loggers, bubblers and/or pressure transducers and install new telemetry devices to communicate with the District’s SCADA system. No ground disturbance or heavy construction equipment is necessary to complete project activities. Miscellaneous hand and power tools will be used to complete all work. The project has received funding through a grant awarded to the District by the California Department of Water Resources under the California Stream Gage Improvement Program. The project is scheduled to begin in February 2026 and is estimated to be completed within 10-weeks.
