Document Description
As part of the California Stream Gage Improvement Program, the California Department of Water Resources has executed a contract with the El Dorado Irrigation District to upgrade equipment at three existing stream gaging stations in the communities of White Hall (Mill Creek), Cameron Park (Deer Creek), and the City of Placerville (Hangtown Creek). These existing stream gages currently utilize discontinued technology that does not allow real-time data to be transferred via telemetry. The existing data loggers, bubblers, and/or transducers would be replaced and new telemetry devices would be installed at each of the stream gaging stations. Proposed activities would not require the use of heavy equipment or result in additional ground disturbance. Hand and power tools would be used for the proposed activities.
