- Description
- To restore the site to pre-flood conditions, the recommended repair work consists of excavating slumped material and reconstructing the levee slope reusing the existing or imported levee material. The site will be excavated to approximately 3 feet below the failure plane and will follow an approximate 2H:1V slope. The excavation will be benched, and new fill engineered levee fill material keyed-in to the existing slope to ensure a good bond. The final levee slope should match the pre-construction and adjacent slopes. No subsurface dewatering will be required to meet compaction requirements.
