Title
Marsh Trail Improvements for Watershed and Natural Resource Protection
Description
Project proposes to make improvements to the Marsh Trail in Trione-Annadel State Park to protect water quality and natural resources and improve access for park visitors, staff, and emergency vehicles. Work will: •Remove an existing cattle guard and pedestrian bridge; •At the White Oak entrance, improve the trail and entrance to an existing restroom; •Excavate to install 18-inch culverts within the existing road prism, in-line with the drainage; •Add gravel material around the culverts to stabilize them, and cap them with a Class 2 road base aggregate; •Build XX (xx) elevated causeways to accommodate Class C fire engines; •Use local vegetation materials and duff to cover exposed soil and restore previously impacted areas; and •Downstream of the Ledson Marsh Spillway, install a prefabricated engineered 20-foot bridge over the stream.
