Document Description
The Project proposes improvements on a 0.45-mile section of Old Auburn Road from the Sacramento County line south to Roberts Creek Court and on Wachtel Way from Old Auburn Road south approximately 0.61 miles to the Woodside Oaks Park segment of the Arcade-Cripple Creek Trail. The proposed improvements include intersection enhancements such as roundabouts, as well as the installation of pedestrian and bicycle facilities such as multi-use pathways, Class IV bikeways, crosswalks, sidewalks, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant curb ramps. The Project includes amending the Bikeway Master Plan, Pedestrian Master Plan, and the General Plan Bikeway Map to incorporate these new bicycle and pedestrian segments. These improvements are needed to address traffic congestion along Old Auburn Road as well as current deficiencies in pedestrian and bicycle access along Old Auburn Road and Wachtel Way.
