Document Description
The City of Buena Park is processing a request to implement two discretionary actions that would ultimately allow for the construction of a new municipal-supply water production well and associated maintenance structures and equipment (Project) within a portion of William Peak Park located at 7225 El Dorado Drive (APN: 136-101-04). The Project involves the construction of a new municipal-supply water well with a targeted operational production rate of 3.6 million gallons per day (mgd) (2,500 gallons per minute [gpm]), if available from the aquifers to be perforated in the new well; the construction of a 12-inch-diameter water line along El Coco Way and El Dorado Drive; a 902-foot, 30-inch pump-to-waste drain line; and a 2,000-square-foot pump house building. The pump house building would be constructed on the west side of the proposed Project site in order to allow for future development, including a buried reservoir, pump station, and water treatment area. Proposed access to the Project site would be provided by a new off-site driveway/service road which would connect the proposed well site to El Coco Way.
