Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes a maintenance project to replace 2 culverts along State Route (SR) 88 in Alpine County at Postmiles (PM) 4.11 and 4.45. The scope of work consists of replacing the existing 18” Corrugated Steel Pipe culverts with 24” Reinforced Concrete Pipe culverts as well as replacing the headwalls for both culverts. The project’s purpose is replacing the deteriorated culvert systems. The project is needed to maintain proper function of the culvert systems, prevent failure of the overlying highway, and protect the safety of the traveling public.
