The Cantara Trunk Line (TL), originally built in 1917, is a critical part of LADWP's water distribution system. The proposed improvement project will upgrade aging infrastructure to enhance water delivery, system reliability, and emergency preparedness in the Sun Valley area. The project involves installing approximately 8,200 feet of 30-inch and 5,100 feet of 20-inch underground pipeline, along with 7,010 feet of 8-inch distribution mainline improvements. It also includes the addition of isolation valves, blow-offs, combination air/vacuum valves, and replacement or abandonment of select system components.
