Reasons for Exemption
The project is consistent with Section 15301(c) exemption as the project is the minor alteration of existing public infrastructure with negligible or no expansion of use. 15301(c) provides an exemption under CEQA for the modifications of existing highways and streets for alterations including the addition of bicycle facilities, pedestrian crossings, or other similar alterations that do not create additional automobile lanes.
