Document Description
The proposed project is the Big Shift Project #2/c and Long Range Development Plan (LRDP) Amendment No. 3 which includes the demolition of wastewater treatment plant facilities and construction of the proposed hot-water Thermal Energy Storage (TES) plant. The new TES plant would be constructed immediately south of the existing chiller plant on Putah Creek Lodge Road. The project delivers two new Heat Recovery Chillers (HRC), associated pumps, and required electrical infrastructure. The TES tank would be approximately 100 feet in diameter and approximately 60 feet tall. Other site improvements include new lighting, concrete paving and asphalt, fencing, landscaping, and stormwater drainage connections. The project also includes a minor LRDP Amendment #3 to the 2018 LRDP to redesignate the land use of 0.71 acres, from Academic and Administrative to Campus Utilities.
