Title
Sloughhouse RCD Stream Gage Installation Project
Description
Sloughhouse Resource Conservation District (SRCD) has received funding from CalSIP to reactivate or install new surface water gaging stations at seven (7) locations throughout Amador and Sacramento Counties. The Project is designed to provide a net benefit to the watershed by enhancing the precision of real-time surface water data. This data is critical for informed instream flow management and the long-term protection of sensitive aquatic and riparian resources. While construction may result in minor, localized, and temporary impacts, these effects will be minimized through avoidance and minimization measures. Ultimately, the improved data stream will facilitate adaptive management strategies that balance agricultural needs with the biological requirements of local fish and wildlife populations.
