Title: Electric Float and Battery Project at Seaplane Lagoon Ferry Terminal
Description: Battery electric vessel technology is ready to be used to support existing ferry service between San Francisco and neighborhoods in Alameda. This project includes charging infrastructure at Seaplane Lagoon Ferry Terminal that will support the most effective path to bringing reliable, zero emission ferry transit to the Bay Area but does not change the existing uses at existing ferry terminals. The project encompasses the construction and installation of a fully functional electric charging float with a battery energy storage system, designed with a total of 1,351 kWh of storage capacity. The electric charging float will directly replace the existing float at the terminal. The project also includes utility upgrades to connect medium voltage power to the electric charging float
