Sac 5 Vision Zero Acceleration Lane
Description
The purpose of this proposed project is to improve user safety at the interchange and reduce the number of collisions. The District 3 Traffic Safety team has determined that vehicles entering I-5 from Twin Cities Road on-ramps do not have sufficient acceleration lengths. This has resulted in vehicles entering the mainline at lower speeds, causing a pattern of rear end and sideswipe collisions.
