Euclid Avenue Recycled Water System Project

Description

The proposed Project will construct approximately 20,128 linear feet (LF) of City-owned and operated recycled water mains, install approximately 300 LF of lateral connections, and will convert approximately 2,440 LF of existing potable water mains for distribution of recycled water within city limits. Project improvements will be completed using open-trench construction methods. The Project involves primarily underground infrastructure improvements and ancillary above-ground appurtenances within landscaped areas. The Project will also remove portions of existing landscaping and paved surfaces temporarily at existing irrigation system connection points. Upon completion of construction, the existing surfaces will be restored to pre-project conditions at all connection points and along the new and converted recycled water mains. Temporary construction activities and long-term operation and maintenance of the new recycled water mains will occur on Euclid Avenue, West F Street, North Vine Street, West Flora Street, East C Street, East B Street, and East Riverside Drive. The Project will remove/replace ten (10) trees as maintenance. Schools within 2 miles include Chaffey High School, Vina Danks Middle School, Champions at Euclid Elementary, Turciz Family Daycare, Central Language Academy, St. George School, San Antonia School, Woodcrest Junior High School, Liberty Elementary School, Heavenly Care Daycare and Preschool, Sunrise Children Center, and Live Oak Preschool.
