Fresno Council of Governments 2026 Regional Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy (RTP/SCS)

Description

The project proposes the preparation and adoption of the 2026 Regional Transportation Plan and Sustainable Communities Strategy (RTP/SCS). Fresno COG, as the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and state-designated Regional Transportation Planning Agency (RTPA) for Fresno County, is undertaking this update in accordance with applicable federal and state planning mandates. The 2026 RTP/SCS will address all transportation modes, including motor vehicles, transit, rail, goods movement (rail freight and trucking), bicycle and pedestrian facilities, aviation systems, and transportation systems management programs and projects with the horizon year of 2049.
