Picacho Road Bridge Replacement - IS24-0037

Description

The applicant intends to replace the existing Picacho bridge which leads into the Townsite of Winterhaven, due to cracking and outliving its useful life. The existing timber bridge must be replaced to support commerce, continue access to the Quechan Reservation and the Bard community, as well as provide a safer crossing of the Yuma Main Canal. Therefore, Imperial County Department of Public Works has requested that an Initial Study (IS #24-0037) be prepared.
