- Description
- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has prepared this Initial Study with Negative Declaration (IS/ND) for the State Route (SR) 116 Slide Repair Project (Project). The Project would stabilize the embankment and prevent additional landslides through the construction of a soldier pile retaining wall with ground anchors adjacent to the westbound lane. This Project would also repair a downdrain culvert, also damaged by landslides, and would include other drainage improvements to help stabilize the slope over the long term. Concrete barriers and a metal beam guardrail system would be installed adjacent to the westbound lane.
