The project proposes to upgrade existing metal beam guardrail to Midwest guardrail system (MGS) along southbound Interstate 215 (I-215) and the southbound Los Alamos Road off-ramp near Los Alamos Road in Riverside County. This project will upgrade existing asphalt concrete (AC) dike. Additionally, the project includes four guardrail locations and one temporary construction staging area on Interstate 15 (I-15). The proposed guardrail for three of the new locations will anchor to the existing bridge railing. The construction of a concrete barrier transition will be required to anchor new guardrail to existing bridge rail, as well as the MVP that will be added on the I-215 southbound near the southbound Los Alamos Road off-ramp. All construction work is within State R/W.
