Document Description
The purpose of this project is to implement a variety of vegetation management and fuels reduction treatments within the Wildflower Ridge Preserve to improve forest health, promote native species, eradicate invasive species, and establish a strategic fuel break. Treatment methods may vary based on site conditions, vegetation composition, ecological objectives, and available funding. These efforts are intended to reduce hazardous fuel loading, improve the ecological resilience of the preserve, and interrupt the continuity of combustible vegetation to help limit the spread of wildfire during a catastrophic fire event. The project may include future or supplemental treatments if additional funding opportunities become available during the term of this Agreement, subject to coordination with Bear Yuba Land Trust.
