Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Section 15303(e) New Construction or Conversation of Small Structures
Reasons for Exemption
The proposed project is categorically exempt from the provisions of CEQA pursuant to State CEQA Guidelines Section 15303(e), which applies to construction of accessory structures, including private garages. The project would construct a 600-square-foot detached garage accessory to an existing single-family residence within an already developed portion of the parcel. The garage is outside the 100-foot stream setback, no trees will be removed, and the project will implement the biological resource avoidance measured identified in the July 2026 Biological Resources Assessment. No exceptions listed under Section 15300.2 apply, and there is no reasonable possibility that the project would have a significant effect on the environment.
