Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Class 4; California Code of Regulations, title 14, section 15304
Reasons for Exemption
On 6/9/2026, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife determined that the Project is categorically exempt pursuant to Public Resources Code section 21084 and California Code of Regulations, Title 14, section 15304. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife determined that the Project meets certain qualifying criteria for the exemption because it consists of minor alterations in the condition of land, water, and/or vegetation which do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees.
Pursuant to Public Resources Code section 21080.1(a), the Lead Agency is responsible for determining whether the Project is exempt from CEQA and that determination shall be final and conclusive on all persons, including Responsible Agencies. As a result, CDFW, acting as both the Lead Agency and Responsible Agency, determined that the Project is exempt from CEQA.
