Document Description
The proposed project will expand the UCS suite on the 5th floor of Bayramian Hall. Following the completion of the Matador Success and Inclusion Center (MSIC) in summer 2027, the Matador Achievement Center (MAC), which currently occupies the 5th floor of Bayramian Hall, will relocate to MSIC. UCS will then renovate the former MAC space to create eight new counseling offices, a reception area, a sensory room, and a training space with storage. This expansion will allow UCS to be fully staffed on campus and better meet student counseling needs.
This project is an interior tenant improvement project that will renovate portions of Bayramian Hall to support the expansion of UCS. The scope includes renovation of the former MAC space on the 5th floor, expanding the existing 7,200-square-foot UCS suite by approximately 2,070 square feet and increasing counseling offices from 22 to 34 offices. The project also includes conversion of approximately 570 square feet on the first floor to create a gender-inclusive, multi-stall restroom and lactation room, along with minor accessibility upgrades to the 5th floor restrooms, safety upgrades to the UCS reception service window and suite, upgrades to the existing group counseling and observation rooms, provision of a new conference room with audio-visual equipment, and renovation of the existing UCS suite’s storage room and open office space.
