Document Description
The applicant proposes an outward expansion of usable flat areas of their front yard by filling the currently sloped terrain. Currently, the slope of the front yard begins ten (10) feet from the front of the house. According to the submitted site plans, the project fill would extend that area by fifteen (15) feet South. The project would involve the filling and compacting of about 437 cubic yards of imported, select fill. Additionally, the vegetation in the area has previously been cleared, therefore no undisturbed area/soil will be involved. The new proposed setback from the toe of the fill to the front property is 172 feet, and 26 feet from the West-Side property line. The proposed fill-area is not intended to support any structure and is strictly for landscaping purposes.
