Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-MEN-68708-R1C, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Graham Chelius.
The Project is limited to one (1) encroachment for replacement of an existing culvert. Work for this encroachment will include widening of the road at the crossing, excavation, removal of the existing culvert, replacement with new properly sized culvert, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion. The culvert inlet will be countersunk 10% of the culvert diameter and a critical dip will be installed at the down road hinge line.
The project footprint may extend up to a rocked ford crossing, on the same road, immediately before the culvert. No substantial work is anticipated at the rocked ford crossing as the existing condition will be maintained during and post construction. The road at the crossing will be widened by approximately 4-6 feet into the cutbank between the crossings. The cutbank slope will be laid back to as shallow a grade as feasible and compacted to prevent slumping.
