Document Description
The purpose of the project is to complete the installation of a pedestrian hybrid beacon and rectangular flashing beacon on U.S. Route 395. This project is needed to complete the two partially installed pedestrian crossing features and ensure full functionality of these two features. Caltrans District 9 is proposing to install and hook up a pedestrian hybrid beacon and a rectangular flashing beacon at two separate locations on existing cast-in drilled hole pile foundations. To complete installation, Southern California Edison will alter or relocate their utilities to clear the new beacons. In addition, work proposed for this project includes minor concrete patching around utility poles that may need to be replaced in-kind, installation of new sign panels on existing poles, and placement of new pavement markings.
