Document Description
The New Valley High School Project would relocate New Valley High School from its current location at 1875 Lawrence Road to the Educational Options Campus located at 1840 Benton Street, Santa Clara, California. The purpose of the proposed Project is to provide a consolidated, modern campus for the New Valley High School students. The proposed Project includes construction of a two-story building with new classrooms, labs, and new weight room. Parking improvements would include adding approximately 73 new parking spaces for a total of 356 parking spaces. A new Student Union would be constructed that would include outdoor seating areas with picnic tables and a new sports court. Existing locker rooms will be reconfigured to create separate rooms for New Valley High School and Adult Education. Other locker room improvements include new showers, changing rooms, and restrooms that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The existing Nutrition Services Kitchen would be renovated to support the new students and staff. Construction would occur for approximately 18 months expected to begin in July 2027. Construction hours are expected to be 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Off-campus road closures are not anticipated
