Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes a District Director’s Order project to repair roof leakage at Caples Lake Maintenance Station at post mile 2.019 on State Route (SR) 88 in Alpine County. The work consists of replacing one full row of roofing panels from the ridge to the eave at the dormitory. Work also includes replacing damaged carport roof panels and repairing affected interior areas as necessary. The purpose of this project is to restore the roof, preserve the maintenance station building, and support continued Caltrans maintenance operations. The project is needed to address roof deterioration, prevent water intrusion and prevent further damage to the building.
