Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) District 4 proposes to upgrade electrical infrastructure and remove a double-wide trailer at the Vallejo Maintenance Station (Facility No. 5723), located at 1700 Lewis Brown Drive, off State Route (SR-) 37. Overhead conducts will be replaced with new subsurface electrical conduits using the open-trench method. New concrete pads, a transformer, a switchboard, and pull boxes will be installed. One utility pole within the Maintenance Station will be removed. The upgraded electrical service will support the replacement of the existing double-wide trailer with a new quad-wide trailer. A separate, subsequent project will address the installation of the new quad-wide trailer. The proposed work will occur primarily inside the Vallejo Maintenance Station fence line within Caltrans right of way (ROW). Additional workspace along Lewis Brown Drive is needed to install a conduit from the utility pole outside of the site’s southeast perimeter.
