Document Description
Tulelake Irrigation District (TID), with NRCS as lead federal agency under the Watershed Protection and Flood Prevention Act (PL 83-566), proposes to modernize District infrastructure to improve agricultural water management and energy efficiency. The Preferred (Modernization) Alternative would upgrade pumps at 28 locations (pump and motor replacement, variable frequency drives, SCADA upgrades, and traveling screens) and install SCADA and automation equipment at 74 sites. Ground disturbance would be minimal and confined to existing rights-of-way. TThe project would improve delivery reliability to 924 patron accounts, Tule Lake NWR, and Lower Klamath NWR, and reduce operational spills and O&M costs.
