Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to implement the Interstate 5 and Louise Avenue Interchange Improvement Project to replace the existing compact diamond interchange at the Interstate 5 and Louise Avenue from postmile R15.85 to postmile R17.33 with a diverging diamond interchange to accommodate traffic associated with growth planned in the City of Lathrop’s General Plan. Additionally, the project would include widening the existing Interstate 5 on- and off-ramps, reconstructing the undercrossing underneath the existing freeway bridge, constructing ramp metering, constructing new auxiliary lanes less than 1 mile in length, providing new traffic signals, constructing Class II bicycle lanes along Louise Avenue, and providing new sidewalks along Louise Avenue.
