The proposed action to approve a resolution to update the General Plan Safety Element is categorically exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant lo CEQA Guidelines Sections 15060(c)(2) and 15061(b)(3) ("general rule" or 'common sense") the proposed Safety Element update involves the adoption of policy documents to maintain consistency with state law and does not in and of itself propose or approve physical development. As such, the proposed project is not anticipated to result in any changes to the physical environment. Nor will it result in potential environmental Impacts.
