Document Description
The project is limited to 4 rocked ford encroachments along Class II and Class III watercourses. The crossings vary from 15 to 30 feet in width and 25 to 30 feet in length and will use 6-18 inch angular rock. The crossings are needed to complete fuel reduction work in the Huestis Rock unit of the Mail Ridge Forest Health and Wildfire Resilience Project that was evaluated in a PSA prepared by the Humboldt County Resource Conservation District and approved on July 9, 2025 (CALVTP ID #2025-01). The PSA also serves as an Addendum to the CALVTP Program EIR certified by the California Board of Forestry and Fire Protection in December of 2019.
