Reasons for Exemption
This project has been determined to be exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act under CEQA Guidelines Section 15305 (Class 5) as it consists of a setback variance from eighty-nine (89) feet to twenty (20) feet from the front property line (western boundary) and no less than fifteen (15) feet from the remaining property lines (northern, eastern and southern boundaries) for the construction of a sixty-four (64) foot monopole (including 4-foot lightning rod), which is a minor alteration in land use in an area with a slope of less than 20% and which does not result in the creation of any new parcel.
