Document Description
Native plant communities at Border Field State Park support a broad array of wildlife including the state and federally endangered Least Bell's Vireo and federally threatened Coastal California Gnatcatcher. Flooding and excessive sedimentation have caused a proliferation of non-native invasive weed infestations at that decrease biodiversity and degrade the quality of habitat for nesting and foraging. This project will restore approximately 3.5 acres of mulefat scrub and coastal sage scrub habitat at Border Field State Park. Further project details and measures to be implemented to avoid and/or minimize environmental impact may be obtained by submitting a request to the project Environmental Coordinator listed below.
