Document Description
Department of Water Resources (DWR) staff will repair a large erosion along the outer slope of the aqueduct access road at MM 8.80 of the South Bay Aqueduct. Loose, eroding soil will be removed using an excavator, two dump trucks of dirt and/or aggregate base will be used to fill the erosion, then a backhoe with sheep’s foot roller will compact and stabilize the area. A water truck will be used for dust control and to ensure proper soil compaction. Staging and work will be within the DWR right-of-way.
