Reasons for Exemption
The Senior Services Parking Lot Reconstruction & Striping Project (C16502638) is exempt from CEQA pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Sections 15301 (Existing Facilities) and 15302 (Replacement or Reconstruction). The project is limited to the repair and reconstruction of the existing parking lot and entrance. The project will not result in an expansion of the existing parking lot capacity or use, and no unusual circumstances or significant environmental impacts will occur. Furthermore, none of the exceptions set forth in CEQA Guidelines Section 15300.2 apply (e.g. cumulative impacts, scenic highways, hazardous waste sites, or impacts on historic resources). Therefore, the project is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Sections 15301 (Existing Facilities) and 15302 (Replacement or Reconstruction).
