Document Description
The project is located along Sulphur Creek (Zone 2, Line K) flood control channel between Barrington Court and Sulphur Creek in the City of Hayward, Alameda County, California. The project would remove an existing 1,000-gallon underground fuel storage tank (UST) and install a new 1,000-gallon above ground storage tank (AST) within the pump station property at approximately the same location, along with a new concrete pad foundation, tank mounts, buried flexible fuel piping, overfill alarm and pipeline leak detection system. The removed UST and associated appurtenances will be disposed of at an approved landfill site. All work will be performed on Flood Control District property and/or easement. The purpose of the project is to comply with chapters 6.7 and 6.95 of the California Health & Safety Code, Title 23 of the California Code of Regulations, and the 2022 California Fire Code.
