Document Description
Peach Hill Wash transitions from concrete lined to natural unimproved channel and connects to the Arroyo Simi. The unimproved channel borders the City of Moorpark and unincorporated Ventura County. Peach Hill Wash has a Watershed Protection District (WPD) access road along the wash and a Ventura County Water and Sanitation sewer pipeline that runs beneath the access road. Portions of the bank and access road have eroded and put the sewer line at risk for exposure damage, and sewage spill once the large El Nino storms arrive. To alleviate this risk, about 150-175 linear feet of bank will be stabilized. The project consists of clearing and grubbing existing native and non-native vegetation along the bank, benching, and adding fill and ungrouted rock riprap to stabilize the bank and protect the sewer line and surrounding neighborhood. The work area is currently dry, and no surface water is anticipated to be encountered. A biologist and environmental Best Management Practices will be utilized for work activities.
