The Applicant, Legacy Church (David Anderson, Owner), is requesting to allow for a new 1,420 square-foot modular classroom, including adding an accessible access ramp, stair unit and sidewalk, that will be added to the existing church campus and facility, and per direction from the Planning Director, modifying Condition of Approval #2 of PSP 05-096 (ZA) to allow for the proposed signage to be up to 660 square feet total. Reasons for Exemption
This action is consistent with Section 15303 Class 3, New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures, which consists construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures; a store, motel, office, restaurant or similar structure not involving the use of significant amounts of hazardous substances, and not exceeding 2,500 square feet in floor area. In this instance, the proposal includes the addition of a 1,420 square-foot modular classroom building and the installation of approximately 660 square feet of signage to the church campus and facility. Therefore, the application of CEQA Section 15303 is applicable and appropriate for this project.
