Document Description
The purpose of the project is to implement upgrades to existing VTA bus stops located in the City of San José, City of Sunnyvale, City of Milpitas, VTA Diridon Station and VTA Tamien Station. The Project is needed to address the existing outdated transit shelters and benches by replacing them with new infrastructure. The Project would connect new transit shelter lighting to the city streetlight circuit and address damaged concrete bus pads and/or Americans with Disabilities Act nonconforming sidewalk.

will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced.” CEQA Guidelines Section 15302 is applicable for this project because the Project involves upgrades to facilities at existing VTA bus stops within the existing footprints.
