Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes replacing two culverts on Interstate (I-) 580 in the City of Pleasanton, Alameda County, at post miles (PM) 16.85 and 16.88. The culvert at PM 16.85 is an 18-inch diameter corrugated steel pipe (CSP) and the culvert at PM 16.88 is a 24-inch CSP. Both will be replaced in-kind. Some project elements will occur off the paved roadway. Clearing and grubbing and trimming or removal of a few shrubs may be required prior to construction. Trenching of the roadway will be required to remove and replace the culverts and then the roadway will be repaved. Any damaged or removed pavement delineation and striping will be replaced. Construction equipment may include, but not be limited to, trucks, excavators, rollers, small equipment, and hand tools.
