Document Description
The San Bernardino County Flood Control District proposes to perform emergency repairs to the existing Hunsaker Drain drainage system. Emergency work will include the rehabilitation of approximately 250 linear feet of 54" steel spiral rib pipe (SSRP) located downstream of Edison Way. Work will generally consist of repairing the 54” SSRP, encasing the pipe, backfiling, grading, and performing all other work appurtenant thereto. Construction is anticipated to last 15 days.

The project consists of repairs to an existing drainage facility with negligible expansion of use, consistent with Section 15301, and reconstruction on the same site with the same purpose and capacity under Section 15302. Because the project is limited to the repair, maintenance, and partial reconstruction of existing public infrastructure and will not result in significant impacts to biological, cultural, hydrological, or other environmental resources, it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility the activity may have a significant effect on the environment. Therefore, the project also qualifies for the Common Sense Exemption pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3).
