Description of Nature, Purpose, and Beneficiaries of Project:
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to construct centerline rumble strips and pavement delineation on highway 395 at various locations. The Project will provide a warning barrier for vehicles crossing into oncoming traffic lanes and is intended to reduce the number and severity of crossover crashes. The improvements will enhance roadway safety by alerting drivers when they unintentionally depart their travel lane. There will be no ground disturbance.
