Document Description
This project proposes to widen the roadbed in Lake County, north of Middletown, on State Route 29 from PM 7.4 to PM 8.9 to create a soft median with centerline rumble strips. Outside shoulders would be widened from the existing 4 feet to 6 feet. Shoulder and median widening would be accomplished by cutting and filling, with a new structural section constructed in the widened sections followed by a final Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt overlay.

There will not be a significant cumulative effect by this project and successive projects of the same type in the same place, over time. There is not a reasonable possibility that the project will have a significant effect on the environment due to unusual circumstances. This project does not damage a scenic resource within an officially designated state scenic highway. This project is not located on a site included on any list compiled pursuant to Govt. Code § 65962.5 ("Cortese List"). This project does not cause a substantial adverse change in the significance of a historical resource.
