Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to repair pavement and culverts on State Route (SR)-79 from Post Mile (PM) M31.7 to 40.4 and on Interstate (I-)10 at PM 7.6 at the junction of SR-79, in Riverside County. Improvements would include cold plane and overlay of mainlines, shoulders, and ramps including digouts where needed; upgrading guardrail and end treatments with vegetation control underneath; upgrading existing curb ramps to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards and installing new curb ramps, pedestrian heads, and push buttons; repairing or replacing culverts; replacing sign panels; modifying the signal system and traffic census stations; implementing roadside safety improvements at gore areas; rock slope protection (RSP); replacing bridge railings and installing chain link or tubular railing on top of existing bridge railings; constructing new sidewalks; and installing Class II bike lanes, and enhanced crosswalk marking and striping where appropriate.
