Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), using state funding, is proposing to perform a Cold In-Place Recycling (CIR) on State Route 139 in Lassen County between post miles 24.0 and 28.0. The CIR will consist of milling the existing pavement to a depth of 0.33’ placing the recycled mixture to match the original grade and applying a 0.15’ hot mix asphalt overlay. All work will be performed on the roadway prism within the Caltrans right-of-way, and no work will be performed on bridge decks. Shoulder backing will be placed, as needed.
