CDFW is issuing a California Endangered Species Act scientific, educational, or management permit pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 2081, subdivision (a) (Permit No. 2081(a)-26-010-RP) for a project that will attempt to establish a new population of Milo Baker’s lupine (Lupinus milobakeri) within its historic range on private property owned by the Permittees. If successful, this recovery project will improve the resilience of Milo Baker’s lupine to extinction. The Permittees will voluntarily support the Project by conducting site preparation and habitat maintenance activities, which may include weed control using tarps, mowers, weed whackers, and/or hand tools, and herbivore exclusion using insect cloth. CDFW staff will lead seed collection, outplanting, and monitoring activities.
